A nationwide mapping of cultural and creative industries is starting in the Czech Republic. The project is overseen by the Ministry of Culture and carried out by professional associations, research institutions, and academic organizations. It covers a total of nine sectors, including design, which is being studied by the Association of Czech Industrial Design (AČPD).
Design is an investment in a brand’s identity. It represents an effective way to build competitiveness for companies both in the Czech Republic and abroad, as well as to strengthen the national brand. Through the Mapping of CCIs – Design project, the AČPD aims to outline the true scope of the design sector, its broad application in manufacturing industries, and to convince state institutions of the value of supporting design.
The project’s goal is to collect key data on the economic and social impact of design, to map the scale, direction, and needs of the sector, and to contribute to its further development. This will provide comprehensive and reliable materials for discussions with state institutions.
