EREBO builds on the phenomenon of declining diversity in the biosphere. The phenomenon is captured through the language of geology, i.e. the gradual settling of animal shells. These sediments represent porcelain pedestals referring to the past and extinction. On the contrary, the anchored glass objects on the surface symbolize life and the present. EREBO describes the natural cycle of life and exposes our apparent immortality.
