Art House: Naše zahrada / Our Garden
The exhibition works with the symbol of a garden as a place which must be cared for and tended in order for anything to grow. The works of 14 featured designers and artists from both Czechia and abroad cover a wide range of topics which have often been left on the margins of contemporary design. Fashion becomes a tool for activism, vases provide testimony about the plights of war and tapestries comment on social stereotypes. The intervention into the Art, Life permanent exhibition in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague asks the tough questions and enriches the historical context for contemporary topics which ought to be at the center of interest.
