Space Fluid
In her books Markéta Baňková connected physics and biology with the world of literature and art. Botany and chemistry are up next. Space Fluid is her niche perfume company through which she comes up with her own aromatic image of the world. She creates the kind of perfumes she has always wanted to wear and smell on others. Perfumes that don't smell like perfume, but like the real world. That contain precious natural ingredients and little chemistry. That are meant to be a guide to paradise, yet (or just because) point the way to it on raw earth. For paradise exists only in contrast to hell. Pleasure is stronger when coupled with authenticity, especially in today's virtual age. From start to finish, the project is a unified work: the author invented the recipes, hand-mixed the perfumes, hand-painted and described the flacons, and made the website www.spacefluid.com, where she wrote short stories and created animations.
