Monika Martykánová
The collection of sculptures Me in 2024 represents an intimate and personal statement of a woman in her thirties. I turned thirty in February. I was sitting in the armchair wrapped in a white towel after wellness. Without makeup, with wet hair and red cheeks. Me – alone and at peace with myself. I’m sitting in my studio and modelling. Figures with different moods. Through them I map all the emotions and positions representing my first tangible journey towards myself.
