David Valner
David Valner's studio focuses on the production of original applied objects and art objects made of glass using traditional glass techniques. He deliberately leaves the originally fluid material to naturally shape. He does not use many forms, therefore the applied objects are created in series, but each individual piece is a unique original. Any shape deviation from the original sample or "mistake" in the glass is celebrated as clear evidence of the handmade work of master glass makers and the detachment of handcraft from mass machine production.
